Monstrous, non-sentient and slug-like, these abominations with rock-like skin bury in the sand and get their names for their massive and cavernous mouths that remain agape to hunt unsuspecting prey. Living in the driest and hottest places, pools of water gather at the bottom of the cavern and naturally attract animals from miles around. Once the animal reaches the back of the cavern, the slug's mouth closes rapidly, trapping the animal and slowly digesting it inside.
