Known for its crooked teeth and goofy smiles as infants, the Stub-toothed Rainbow Beetle can create a pressure difference in the area around it that creates a bed of clouds to prevent it from drying out. This effect creates tiny rainbows that surround the creature from the sunlight passing through the increased level of moisture. As they grow older, their eyes shrink and their teeth remain stubby, but form more uniform lines.
