A subspecies of Roptera, the Lantern Ear Roptera utilizes the bioluminescence to attract insects directly to its own face that it has a particularly easy time eating. Its advanced hearing helps alert it when to amplify the intensity of its life to guide insects that are further away. The females have brighter ears than their male counterparts, making it easier to hunt in comparison and allows them to grow almost double the size.
