A hybrid fungi and creature, the Koshum produces spores with a savory smell that amplifies the fear response and adrenaline in even faint concentrations. Generally, being within a few dozen meters, the spores will be dense enough to start raising the heart rate. If a creature ends up a few meters away the body becomes overwhelmed with adrenaline, and they suffer a cardiac arrest. In their infancy they are rooted to the ground, however as adults they crawl around the forest floor looking for the perfect place to spread their roots as adults.
